South Branch Inn Romney, Romney

We are used to nicer hotels. I expected more for the money. Looks like other customers had the same sheets we did! After the lobby I thought this is a quaint little place. After I saw the sheets, dirt ring in the tub, it looked like a pay by the hour hotel! Looks like word got out before we stayed, because there wasn't another car in sight!!!!!!!!!

ALL of the staff went out of their way to be accomodating and friendly. During all my surprise visits I never had a problem with checking in early or leaving a little late. The entire building was alway very very clean! Desk Clerks always had a smile on their faces despite the hour. Housekeeping was excellent I never once found one dirty item in or around my room. I would definately spend the few extra dollars to stay here everytime I am near the town of Romney, WV

Sheets not changed from previous customer since the stains were in alignment from bedcover all the way to the mattress. The management response to my complaint was unkind. (understatement) I left disgusted and vowed never to return.

We loved our stay at the Koolwink. The double rooms are huge! Like motels used to be. Great cable and big televisions. All the amenities of big and expensive hotels, ie refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, cookies, shampoo, etc. There was plenty of space to move about. Picnic tables, a nice gazebo and friendly staff made it a wonderful stay! The only thing my children did not like were the clown pictures hanging over the beds (they hate clowns). I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone needing to stay the night in Romney, WV

I visit Romney quite often and I always stay at the Koolwink. It is very clean, in a convenient location and it won't cost you $150 a night like some other places may. So if you visit Romney anytime soon I would say that Koolwink is the best place to stay. It's Clean, friendly, comfortable, convenient and it'll save you some money.

Very nice place. It maybe a mom & pop type of motel, but it was super nice inside the room compared to expensive brand name hotels. The double bed room was very big & spacious, very clean. Recommend highly when travling to see the Potomac Eagle Railway.

This place was great. Super nice room, very spacious, very clean. Extremely nice front desk people. It may not look that great from the outside but inside the hotel room says it all.. A real gem of a place buried in the mountains of WV. Extremely reasonable priced. Great place to stay when visiting the Potomac Eagle train ride. Highly recommend !!! The finest of the fine.
