A World of Its Own

Welbourne is a place like no other. First of all, the ride up to the house is lovely and will take you back 100 years. Sometimes you are greeted by the dogs who live with the owners, and sometimes you just come in and make yourself right at home. The rooms are big and charming. In the morning, you are awakened by the smell of coffee and freshly made full breakfasts, which may include fried tomatoes, or bacon, or pancakes all served on the family silver! The host will join you each morning. He is so engaging, you won't want him to leave and at the end of your visit, you won't want to ever leave. Cocktails are served each afternoon of the veranda in warm weather and in the music room when appropriate. I give Welbourne 5+ stars all around.
