My husband and I found the Alpine while traveling in West Virginia. We decided to take a chance and stop for lunch. We figured it couldn't be any worse than what we had been eating for the last few days. (While we have fallen in love with West Virginia and the people, we do not love the food.) Well, it was a chance worth taking- the food was out of this world, the atmosphere unique and inviting, and the staff made us feel like family. The only thing we didn't like was ending our visit with Mark ,his hilairious mother, and the rest of the staff. We plan to stay in the simple, but beautifully decorated lodge on our next trip. We can't wait to go back and suggest that you visit, too.
