Im 24. Me and 4 other people went to WildWood to get drunk and go to a concert on the beach. We didnt want to drive. Sooo, keeping in mind the very low expectations this room had to fill.....the room was trash. the towels had blood on them, there was indeed ants everywhere, the main room light went threw hell in the 70's and the cord was spliced and wrapped in electrical tape, the entire socket the rusted refrigerator was plugged into was hanging out of the wall. the carpets where oddly moist, there where shady people walking around all night, and oh yea, the door to my room was kicked down so many times it was boarded up with ply wood and the bolt lock was mounted at the very bottom of the door. and here comes the best part... after a bit of drinking something was brought up so 1 of the girls i was with looked in the drawers for a bible, only to find 2 drawers filled 1 with legitimate hooker cloths and a females razor, and the other contained specifically, 1 unopened condom, more hooker cloths, and a rather large steak knife. As a response to the only review under mine, they are not cock roaches, there actually the only thing i deemed semi reasonable. they are water bugs that gather around the pool. i spotted them while smoking a cigarette a story above, on the balcony. I cant say i got bit by any thing but honestly i wouldn't be surprised if i did. Later on we discovered via a late night bar conversation that the Old San Juan is welfare housing or something along those lines witch explained allot as far as how the other people staying there where acting. I never in my life have written any kind of review on anything but i also never found hooker cloths in a room that i should have been paid to sleep in. i did think about asking 4 the money back but honestly it seemed pointless. Go meet the owner or her creepy helper Wayne and you will understand what i mean. On a plus side....the 2 cats that lived there where cool, kinda sketchy looking but they seemed to be what was keeping the water bugs at bay.....and you can do what ever you want there. But really, dont waste your time.
what did i disclike??? first just let me say that i woke up around 4 am with bits all over my arms and legs. i iching was horrivle. on a scale from 1 to 10 it was a million. we then had to pack all of our stuff at 4 am ...wake the kids and find another room. when i knocked on the owners door to get my money back there was roaches scattering in front of her door. and as i was tell her that i wanted my money back and she was saying that there are no bugs in the hotel an roach ran right in between us. there was also ants in the bathroom. lights that flickered on and off. and a tib that immediatly filled up when the water turned on. there was bird dropping all over the hotel and pool area because the owner sat out all day feeding the pigeons. the nice family weened sums up to bug bits covering my arms , leg, and face, walking through bird dropping, ants in the bathroom and a trip to the emergenc room. oh and then i had to go spend over $20 at the laundramat before i went home so that i didn bring whatedr kind of bug that were infesting the hotel home into my home.
