Sandbox Motel, Wildwood

A friend and I wanted to stay there and they said they rent to families only, and we were turned away at the front desk. Guess I'll never be able to stay there unless I get married or something.

I tried to get a one night Reservation, and they refused. It had to be 3 or more days. That is a bunch of BULL.

joe and his wife rita have put a lot of love and hard work into this home away from home.I've stayed at the sandbox at least a half/dozen times,all of them comfortable and enjoyable.Try it you"ll like it. Don Watkins Phila.Pa

Joe and Rita are the best we stay there everytime we go to wildwood they make you comfortable, go out of their way to accomodate your every need and then some. it is such a wonderful place, clean,soft towels hot tub and pool and they never forget yoiur birthday they make you feel like family we love you guys Diane and Jesus

We had a wonerfull time and would love to go back again. I am somewhat handicap and they even put up a special sign just for us so I didnt have much trouble walking to our room...by the way, the pool is very nice for the children..our grandkids loved it. Wildwood is growing..we are just so glad we could fine the Sand Box. Thanks go to the owners. They are right there if you need them. Loved our big rooms esp the bedrooms. We would stay again. This place is clean and convenient. The owners are great too! You can't beat the price for a Wildwood motel. There's a liquor store and a restaurant right next door (both go by the name of Mulligan's), a brand new Acme and CVS just across the street from Mulligan's, and not a far walk to the boardwalk.

I will definiately be going back! Joe was great, I'm soory I didn't get to meet his wife Rita. From the time I contacted Joe and thru my entire stay,I had a great time. Centrally located near everything you could possibly need. I was able to walk to the beach daily, swim in the pool all day, and use the jacuzzi. Joe was always readily available, and knew everyone by name. He made sure the pool and jacuzzi were of comfortable temperature, and the staff did an excellent job. The rooms were spotless, and the entire arear was always kept clean. A great place for a family getaway, or as in my case a "bachelorette weekend" as Joe called it..Also very reasonably priced, and a great value for your money, especially when your on a budget. Thanks again Joe...see you next year!

The owners of the Sandbox are the greatest! They make you feel right at home. The little extra special things they do for their guests means so much. (ex, Fresh coffee,donuts and a newspaper. And a birthday cake if its your childs birthday (GREAT). Just a nice place to stay and relax. I recommend it highly and we will be going back..

My family and I have been staying here for years. We followed the owners from their old motel (Gondola - no longer in WW), to the Sandbox. Joe and Rita have become part of our family over the last 16 years. They go out of their way to ensure your stay is wonderful, comfortable, and you are taken care of. Whether you've been coming to the Sandbox for years or it's your first time, you feel like it's home away from home. If you aren't sure where to eat, play, golf, fish, just ask Joe....he knows the best spots. We would never consider staying anywhere else. LOVE IT AND YOU WILL TO. (Not to mention...the pool is cool and the hot tub is ready for you to relax and soak up the sun).
