As of March 1, 2011 the Sail in Motel is now called Sail in on the Beach. At this time we do not offer short term accomodations. All rooms are now permamnent residences with minimum 6 months leases. Thanks to all of you who have stayed with us over the years. If you are considering either moving to Tahoe or want to rent a place year round that is on the Lake give us a call. While scouting locations for her wedding, my Daughter stumbled across the Sail Inn, and we were very happy she did. The lawn is beautiful and the view of the Lake is awe inspiring... The hotel folks are very friendly and accommodating which served to enhance the already relaxed atmosphere. In my opinion, if you want to capture the essence of Lake Tahoe and impress your guests without breaking the bank, its well worth your while to stop by and take a look at the Sail Inn. W.P. WE JUST GOT BACK ON THE 15TH OF OCTOBER .MYSON WAS MARRIED ON THE 14TH ST REAGAN BEACH AND IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION.OUR ROOM HAD A VIEW OF THE LAKE.GREAT FOR THE PRICE. KIM CAMPBELL

this place was amazing. it's not fancy, but downtoearth, beach front with a jacuzzi! who could ask for more? it was so peaceful and refreshing, romantic. a great getaway!

We originally stayed here for a wedding, from the entrance you would initially question staying here. I'm glad we did. As soon as you turn the corner onto the premises, it's absolutely beautiful. You get a complete view of Lake Tahoe, literally steps away from being in the lake. It's fun for adults with a jacuzzi on sight as well as plenty of room to picnic or barbecue. We came before the kids and after. There is lots of grass for the kids to run around and all fenced in. If this is not good enough we are right next to Reagan Beach with a playground and snack stand. We love it and keep coming back. We think it's the best kept secret! Not anymore.
