Michael's Swiss Inn Highland, Highland

This is an older motel with outside entry and old key entry. If traveling at night you drive past this place without realizing it; they need better lighting; especially in the parking area. I thought for the cost and what I read this seemed to be a unique place...it was far from unique. You get what you pay for. They do have a Star Bucks in the lobby; great for those that drink coffee. This place needs updating. The rooms were clean but the showers are not at all for someone tall. No privacy...you hear everything from the next room and down the way.(* not the motel fault as for those that stay there have no consideration for others; yelling down the hall for each other...didn't help they had a young guys ball team staying there...but old enough to know not to do this) Always ask if there is some kind of convention of sort going on!!! We didn't do the bar area...who cares if the the windows come down and opens up...not good for the guest trying to sleep and hear all the partying going on. We only stayed one night out of two...our room had spiders. The lady at desk was very nice...and apologized to my husband; and told him the rooms are sprayed for bugs routinely. But we were still charged full price...oh well!!! We went to the Holiday Inn Express and were very pleased and worth the price...You get what you pay for!!!
