Rip Van Winkle Motel, Warrenton

It was a dark and stormy nite, I had been warned by the local gang in Marshall, not to stay; they told me that I would be arrested, tossed in the local jail, and my mug would be plastered all over the local news the next morning. I ignored their dire warnings. As we pulled into the lot, the moll next to me, said," I got a bad feelin' about this". Telling her to zip it, I walked into the office. The nite clerk put out her L&M in an ashtray already filled with butts, she said "What can I do for ya' big guy?". I told her, "A room, just a room, for a nite". "That'll be $65 bucks" she responed in a sultry way. I opened the door to Room 102, flipped the switch; the wood panneling and decor screamed late 1960s, but I knew that nite was going to be unforgettable...and I lived to tell about it.

i enjoyed my stay very very much,that's why i will always stay at rip van winkle when i'm home!!! i will recommend this motel to anyone that visits warrenton,va. i liked it because it was comfortable, close to everything you could possibly need!!! the people at the motel are very nice and made our stay as though we were at grandmas' just without the home cooked meals.
