Western Hills Motel, Versailles

Small, family-owned and didn't cost a lot of $$$. Owners accessible and helpful when we asked for more towels and a recommendation of places to eat or go for recreation, Versailles is a small town, so it was good to have a local's advice. Some upkeep was needed on a few things, but couldn't complain for the price. The drive way may have potholes, but it kept the 'through traffic' from getting out of hand. A fair trade-off I would say. I HATE speed bumps- at least you can dodge potholes! :) It was December, but the pool looked inviting for those hot summer months. Definitely will stay again!

Owners were so friendly and helpful. We were not familiar with the area and had come to do some family history research. They pointed out where information could be found, where cemeteries were located and looked up phone number and address of local genealogy researchers. They also pointed out local places to eat and other points of interest in the area. Although the facilities are not new or fancy, they were very clean and reasonably priced. Was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Grossly in need of major renovation - The rooms were not very clean - We had to clean the bathroom floor before anyone would use it - The drive in and out of the place was in need of repair as well - pot holes here could swallow your car - We will not be staying here again - Will go to another surrounding town and drive.
