Bonita Beach Hotel, Ocean City

My parents and I stayed here for a weekend in March 2012. Prior to coming, I read reviews on this hotel and was nervous to arrive; however, things were decent overall. Positives: -clean room -new and fairly comfortable mattresses -decent sized balcony -spacious room -nice kitchenette: full sized fridge, microwave, cabinets, and sink. *bring your own plastic silverware though* -plenty of drawer space -close to the beach/nice location -fair price (for this time of year) -there is a sundeck, which would be really cool if it were summertime. Negatives: -indoor pool was closed! that's one of the main reasons why we booked this place. they did not tell us the pool was closed when we called and made our reservations. this could have been extremely disappointing if we had a child with us. -lobby and elevator smelled very unpleasant -no heat or exhaust fan in the bathroom -man at the front desk was unprofessional. it took about 15-20 minutes to check us in. -TV was not flat screen -only one parking space per party

Clean, well-kept, comfortable, quiet, good location away from crowded boardwalk area and monster hotels. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Everything in the room worked as it should. Outdoor showers have hot and cold water for rinsing off -- rare even at best hotels. VG upscale restaurant one block walk on bayside. Plenty of usual food places close by. Would definitely recommend to others. I've been visiting OC for over 30 years and have tried many, many hotels. This is a very good value. If you want a place to relax and refresh between trips to the beach and OC amusements, it's perfect. If you want a balcony overlooking the surf, you'll have to pay more than you do here. If you want the hotel itself to be the major attraction and to provide every service and amusement, check in at a resort hotel but be prepared to pay top prices.

The wallpaper was loose in spots. Lampshades needed to be dusted. The room and the hallway smelled like mold. There were crumbs under the bedspread and sheets. There was a rude woman that was right behind the front desk. I wouldn't stay here again.

Our family checked in room 302 on 8/10/09. We didn't even stay one full night because when we were ready to go to bed, the place was crawling with BED BUGS!!! We packed up- demanded a refund, and had to drive up and down coastal highway to find another hotel at 2 in the morning. I feel that we deserved not only a refund, but compensation for having to get another hotel which, in fact, costed us $300 more than we spent on this hotel. If our room was infested with bed bugs, then I'm sure the rest of the hotel is.

we booked our room 4 days in advance then we had to cancel,they WOULD NOT refund our $175 that was equal to one night stay not even a portion. they are not for the customers they are all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Horrible, horrible service. They completely ruined our weekend. Lady at the front desk is an unprofessional moron who will go out of her way to make your trip hell. Stay anywhere but here.

The room was large enough to accomodate a family of five (2 adults, 3 teens). It was clean. You need to hang the sign requesting housekeeping. We had clean towels. The pool was very nice. It always had fresh towels. The front desk help was very courteous. It is in a great location. Lots of good restaurants and other activities within walking distance. About 1/2 a block from a well-kept beach. we would return!

Loved this place. Small enough for the cozy effect and yet provide ample amenities and service. Great location, too. A great restaurant is across the street to have that special dinner with someone special.

WE HAVE STAYED IN MANY PLACES IN OCEAN CITY. IT IS FAR FROM THE BOARDWALK BUT GREAT IF YOU WANT TO BE AWAY FROM THAT. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN .I BELEIVE IT WAS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND HAD BEEN NEWLY RENEOVATED.IT WAS A LITTLE PRICEY FOR THE LOCATION BUT IT WAS DECENT.MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE SERVICE.EITHER THEY DID;NT HAVE A CLUE OR THEY WERE GROUCHY.ONE AFTERNOON WHILE WALKING BY THE FRONT DESK WE OVERHEARD TWO OF THE DESK PEOPLE ARGUING AND YELLING AT EACH OTHER. THE STAFF SEEMED VERY STRESSED OUT ALL DURING OUR STAY,WHICH WAS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR US.YOU COULD FEEL THE TENSION.THEY DID'NT SEEM TO ACT PROFESSIONAL EVEN IN FRONT OF GUESTS. ALSO IT HAD THE WORST WATER PRESSURE EVER IN THE SHOWER.

management needs to be replaced the staff is usless,unhelpful, and needs a education on manners, we are always in the ocean city md. area and are investors for properties, we never will stay here again--asked why there is no high speed internet in the hotel they said next year when they have money? Very poor room service,carpet dirty smoker smell when the rooms are non-smoking no view the parking lot is too small and spaces are too close together, fine if you have a tiny car. Pool was not clean dirty would not swim in the pool.
