The motel is just great if you plan on staying ask for room 1, it is filled with log furnature!Very clean. Perhaps someday I will come back to Canon City and will stay at the Holiday Motel again. I will recomend this Motel to anyone going to Canon City. The owner Monika is just the best. Very clean rooms and wonderful owner!
I liked that the owner Monika has a wonderful heart, and a kind spirit. She is more than willing to help anyone that needs it. She helped me a lot in the time that i have lived here on a weekly basis for the last 4 years on and off. She takes pride in her business and has remodeled several of her rooms over the last few years. She has the most reasonable prices in Canon City. The Holiday Motel is like a family, and we all take care of each other and care for each other here. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT MORE PEOPLE COME AND STAY WITH US. Thank you Monika for your kind heart and warmth you provide. ---Jordan---
I stayed at this motel for two weeks in July 2009. The lady that owns the motel is very nice, friendly and accommodating. The motel is very close to restaurants, bars, drug stores, grocery stores, downtown, etc. The room was neat, tidy and very clean. The bathroom was reasonably large with a tub and shower. A small fridge was available in the room. The air conditioning worked well. The TV worked but I did not spend anytime watching TV. The room was very reasonably priced for the quality, available amenities and the proximity to the downtown.
The lady that owns this facility is very nice BUT, the facility needs MUCH attention. We've stayed there twice over a couple of years and it gets worse each time. The last time we arrived, it was still cold outside and the heater in the room didn't work. She had a SMALL space heater for heat. The room was too large to warm with that, so she brought us another from another room. Apparently, they ALL had them. The visit before was the same with NO air conditioning. Nice lady but she needs help with up keep. I wouldn't have paid 30.00 for the room.
Hanging 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River is the world's highest suspension bridge. Looking down the narrow canyon with steep
granite cliffs, it is hard to imagine how this spectacular bridge was constructed in 1929 without any major accidents. ...
