Crystal Sands Motel, Ocean City

We chose this motel for a last minute trip b/c of the price and lack of options. Our plan was to go see the night life for a birthday celebration. Our first problem was upon arriving we found ourselves in a room that was not what we had been told we booked. To get the room we had been told we booked had to pay a higher rate. At the time we said no problem i know we all make mistakes being that we were all well over the drinking age we felt this wouldn't present a problem. However it did. No matter how many times we entered or exited the room we were IDed. At first we didn�t mind we thought everyone has a job to do and that�s fine. That�s when we fell under the "investigation" of the teenage hotel security. Which we thought oh well not a big deal it happens when a teenager is given a position of power. Our next problem was with house keeping or the lack of. We only received one day of house keeping the whole time we were there. Our problem that really set us off was when i received a letter in the mail saying we are being charged 150.00 dollars for letting a fire extinguisher off in our room. So naturally we were up hauled. We are recent graduates from college (2 yrs ago) who have professional jobs. Not high school kids anymore who would do that. The letter might i add did not list a name/signature or a official business heading so no one person could be held accountable. I tried calling several times asking the name who charged my account. What I received was brief screaming fallowed by a some one hanging up on me. Visa dismissed their charges on my card after investigating the situation. Bottom line--- Our experience was one that made us feel like they conducted unethical practices. Seeing younger adults and trying to make a quick buck! So be very careful when making your decision on where to stay!.
