Disappointed.
By Catgrrl24, 5/5/09
I have been to OC a hundred times it seems and I like to try different hotels along the boardwalk. When we arrived at the hotel I was surprised to find a single door entrance to the lobby - which made bringing our luggage in very difficult. We checked into our room and I was immediately disappointed. It smelled "old", the beds were very thin & small, the things they hung on the wall for decoration were old, the furniture, tv's and phone were old. In the bathroom, rather than giving you travel sized toiletries, there were soap dispensers on the wall by the sink & shower. My husband and I immediately looked for another hotel despite losing our deposit.

Will not be back!!
By Shawn, 9/15/08
I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff was so RUDE and un- friendly. We have stayed in 6 different places in OC in the past 3yrs and this was by FAR the worse!! The rooms are tiny compared to other hotels for the same price. The front desk people were rude and didn't have the decency to even speak to you when you walked by. The parking was a joke. It seemed that some people could do whatever they wanted but the rules changed for others. All and all, the hotel was awful and I would not recommend anyone staying here. You can get a much better room for the same price 7 blocks up the boardwalk at the Days Inn. That is probably why they sell out and there are rooms available to the Commander.

We enjoyed our stay
By k, 5/27/08
We knew it was a bit pricey when we reserved our room. And for what is there is still overpriced, but we liked it despite the price. Stayed for 4 nights. Monday thru Thursday. It was off season (before Memorial Day weekend). Indoor pool is small. maybe 20 by 20 feet. 3 feet deep. Is enough to get wet in and maybe do some water aroebics. Did not try the breakfast buffet. SkipJack was not open for dinner due to time of year. Captains room was very nice. Extra large jaccuzzi. Double shower heads. Room was well taken care of. Fresh towels every day. (4). Top floor view was absolutely great. One elevator was being repaired during our stay, but did not cause any inconvenience. parking was no problem being off season. Had a space in the lower level parking garage each day. Did hear the neighbors one day as their headboard slapped against the wall. The location is the best. Midway on the Boardwalk. Was great for walking access to anyplace on the Boardwalk and the south end of town. This isn't for the frugal vacationer. If all you need is a bed and a shower, I am sure there are many rooms at other locations that would be much less expensive. But most rooms are capable of sleeping 4 people, although one couple would be on the sofa bed.

Not what I expected
By Diana S, 6/19/07
We have visited OC for the past 3 summers, this hotel was one that we will not be staying in any time soon. They advertise free parking, but the spaces by the hotel are limited. We had to park blocks away, and we addressed this with the evening manager he was very rude and reminded us we were in Ocean City, What do we expect. Not my idea of good PR, not only for the hotel but for OC. The spaces in front of the hotel were blocked by delivery trucks most of the day as well. There was no ironing board or iron in the hotel either, most people have their cloths in suitecases, meaning they get wrinkled. The indoor pool was very small and not really functional. The hotel did not have wireless internet, they only had DSL service and the service was only available for limited time blocks, I rely on the internet for all my finances and business. On a good note the hotel was very clean, the housekeepers were very nice and friendly, and the location was nice as well.
