Alpine Village, Lake City

I stayed at Alpine Village during early August in 2007 and had an amazing time. I had never been to Lake City but was extremely pleased with my experience. The town is so cute and active and I shall be remissed if I didn't mention the amazing views of the mountains surrounding the entire town. Each cabin is cute and has all of the amenities that one would need for a week stay. The cabin included a furnished kitchen with a stove, large refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Our cabin had two very comfortable double beds and additional seating. I stayed there with my family of four and we had plenty of room. The cabin also had a tv equipped with cable. From the outside each cabin had a beautiful flower arrangement and a hummingbird feeder that attracted more hummingbirds then I have ever see in my life. It was so delightful waking up in the morning and sitting out in front of the cabin with my coffee watching the hummingbirds. Amongst the cabins there are grills, chairs, and tables available for use. On top of it all the management was very helpful and kind and the cost of the cabins is very affordable. The cabins are located only a block and a half from the main retail strip. Everything in the town is within walking distance. There is a grocery store about 5 blocks away and a delightful bakery immediately next to the grocery store. I cannot wait to go back.
