Santa Fe Trail Inn, Las Animas

The price was amazing for such a comfortable, clean, cozy room! We left 2 sweaters there and the owner got back to us right away. I love that when we checked in, the owners cool dog greeted us at the front counter. It was so comfortable that we didn't want to leave! We felt so safe and it just is the best little hotel we've ever stayed in. Highly recommended! Thanks to the lady at the convenience store who recommended it.

Geat little room....quiet, clean, friendly manager and staff Cost for stay was low, low Everything worked - TV and internet good reception and signal If you are ever this way stop as it is worth the stay. We will stay there again Pet Friendly

I have stayed at this motel about 3 times since it has opened. The first time, I was very pleased. They greeted me with friendly attitudes and a cute little pooch greated me at the door as well. The second time I was also VERY delighted to be there. The maid.. Cant remember her name, had a cute little boy with a gorgous smile looked very overwhelmed but was very pleasent and I enjoyed her company. She did a great job servicing my room and it was VERY VERY clean. The last time I stayed was a couple weeks ago on a Thursday Friday and Saturday and checked out Sunday. The maid was also there this day I checked in and I was very happy with my room. HOWEVER Saturday was a MESS. The maid didn't fix my bed, give me toilet paper or sweep! I'm lucky I got a fresh towel!! Wandering if it is just change in service? If so they NEED to do a better job. Not that they did horrible, but Ive always felt more comfortable than I did the last time.
