Li'l Abner Motel, Slade

Excellant service, clean rooms excellant location 5 stars all the way!

We stayed at the Li'l Abner Motel on Sunday evening 04/10 and I have to say that it was a very nice room and setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful on answering any questions we may have had about the area. The room was a great deal for the evening and very clean. We normally stay in a cabin while visiting the Red River Gorge, but decided to stay in a motel this time. I was impressed with the service and attitude the staff gave. I would recommend this motel to anyone visiting the red river Gorge or Natural bridge area.

The lodge we stayed at last year was full. We got one of the new suites. Lil' Abners staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, the room was spotless, area attractions are close. 5 out of 5!!! IF I wanted to be really picky, I would have liked an illuminated digital clock on the bedside table-- but I guess I could have brought one myself, and, believe me, that was the ONLY thing missing. A great place for a family on a budget-- 2 BR, 2 TV's, usable (not micro) fridge, stove,microwave,coffee maker, each room with it's own heat/ AC-- We will be back! WOW!!

I was surpized how clean Little Abners is kept. I generaly fear small motels - this place is great.

I live in Lexington, KY and I've been staying at Lil Abner's for longer than I can remember and it's THE BEST "Little Hotel" in THE COUNTRY and not just in KY!! People are always friendly, rooms are immaculate in every way ahey've many upgrades over the years to keep it in "PRIME" condition. JUST ONE "STAY" at Lil Abner's will make you come back and stay again, over and over for as long as You can. GREAT LOCATION! GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT ROOMS AND SERVICE. If you need ANYTHING just pick up the phone and talk to whom ever is in charge and You Will Have It in 5-7 minutes or less!!!

We really like this hotel. Our room was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and this place is a great value! The location is prime for everything we wanted to do in the area. We will definitely be back!

We were a little skeptical, but other reviews said it was good, and there is not a lot of choice, so we booked. Very clean, friendly staff, all the amenities we look for, at a good price. We didn't expect luxury, and didn't get it, but it was a very positive experience and we would definitely stay again. Nicely kept place, attention given to guest comfort.

All they had for two nights in a row was a "cottage". Sounded nice and quaint over the phone, but is is nothing more than an oversized storage shed converted to house people. The doors do not seal so we had a visitor in the morning (cockroach) and the place reeked of smoke. It was a smoking unit, but I was assured that it wouldn't be bad. Staff was friendly and nice and the pool was great for the kids, but for what I paid for the "cottage" it definitely wasn't worth the money. I would rather drive back into Staunton than stay in this motel again.

We have stayed here three times. Just booked my room for a fourth visit. The staff is awesome and very friendly. Always have coffee ready every morning for us. The pool is great! There is usually about 40 or 45 of my family members that stay here at the same time and the staff is always very friendly!! My kids love bug hunting around the motel and drinking Ale 8 from the vending machine.

Lil Ablner motel is reasonably priced if your just looking for a place to crash for the night. I stayed there in the off season, the last week of October. The staff is incredibly friendly. Don't expect to find any entertainment in the motel room. You get three television stations to choose from. The room was clean and the service was great.
