Friends had stayed there an talked about how inexpensive it was, so I made reservations to stay. Upon arrival I discovered that the elevator functioned intermittently. That's when I discovered my reservations were nonrefundable. Once I saw the room we were given, which was supposed to be a double room with double beds, I understood why. It was only big enough for a single. There was no desk, and only a small dresser under the television. There was an ironing board in the bathroom, with one leg broken, and the faucet in the sink was connected wrong way round. The worst part was the lack of a luggage bench and a closet. There was a hanger rack, but as it was suspended above a refrigerator with a coffee maker on top of it, it was unusable. The parking was off street but in open ports, and there was not enough.
When I requested a room change I got a nonsmoking room that smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom counter was broken, and the promised wifi worked poorly. The signal from the motel across the street was stronger and more reliable, so we used that one instead. A continental breakfast was offered, which consisted of coffee, muffins, bananas, apples, juice. Unfortunately it was served in a tiny lobby which reeked of cigarettes. There was a small working elevator, which stank of new carpet and adhesive so that my wife found it hard to breathe.
We will not be back.
