Great Little B&B, for the money
On our way to New Mexico it was getting late and felt like we had to get off the Interstate. The owner (Martie) was very gracious and gave us a winter price break on the room. Our room contained a kitchenette, and the bedroom with full bathroom including large tub was huge. It had a family gathering center on the second floor with games, chairs, and a bigger television than the room.
The next morning was Thanksgiving, and Martie fixed all of us a wonderful breakfast including homemade biscuts, fresh coffee and orange juice. Martie fixed me a pre-breakfast snack since I was starving. Even though her location is within walking distance from downtown activities.
The owner let me go back into the breakfast kitchen prep area (which most B&B's don't)
look around and get extra coffee, juice, and biscuts for the road. Martie shared her experiences as being that half way point in people's travel through southern Colorado.
Martie is a very nice lady who wants your business, and will do anything from opening the door at 3 a.m., to getting up 3 hours later to cook breakfast, and visit with you, your family, and share stories with the kids all with a great big smile.
Had a great time even though it was short, and will definitely stop in again.
