A Bit of a Mixed Review
Pluses - reasonable price, decent sized and pretty clean room, nice bedding and a not-too-far drive from Yosemite. Also, pretty good restaurants nearby for dinner.
Minuses - rooms are on the second floor and you will haul your luggage up some pretty steep stairs to get it to your room. Our room had a claw foot tub (which other reviewers apparently liked) but there was only a shower head attached to the faucets and no where to hang it for actual use. Also, the shower curtain didn't go around the tub so if you tried to take a shower, it would be water everywhere. No shower taken that AM. Our friends room had a water bed (unexpected) and they had a bit of an issue with the shower as well - no really pressure and (again), a shower head attached to the faucets which were not connected very well. The continental breakfast was adequate but really just boxes of cereal and a toaster set out for our use. There was a single pot of coffee made which soon ran out and there was no one around to make another. We had one of the rooms (Evelyn & Carmelo’s Room) facing the patio where breakfast takes place so we could shut off the air conditioner, otherwise it was very distracting.
So - if you know what you are getting, you shouldn't be disappointed. The owners were pleasant and accommodating enough when we checked in and we could get the room(s) for a single night (not that common in high season) so there you go!
