Bring your own breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/18/08
I loved the room. The stairs were a bit steep for someone with physical disabilities.Location was great. Breakfast was a terrible egg strata and I defy you to find an egg in this dish. By the way this was reheated every morning. It was more of a bread pudding. The coffee and orange juice were great. All in all the worst thing about it was the breakfast. Should have something else to eat.

Real Williamsburg! Great Location!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/07
You can't find a better location than this 9-room recently opened B&B inn on the 2nd floor of a 1933 building located inside the historic district, close to the college and a short block off the main drag, Duke of Gloucester St. We could walk everywhere. We stayed in the Yorktown Room, decorated with a 1779 French map and other Yorktown memorabilia, very comfortable Queen size bed, with extra twin if needed. Hot, delicious buffet breakfast in a cheerful open dining room. Great hosts who grew up In Williamsburg and know the town well.

A disappointment
By Linda, 5/20/07
We were disappointed with our stay. The Historic District is not right outside the door as the website says. Parking is inconvenient and not right behind the inn, but is a short walk around the corner from the inn. When unpacking or packing your car you have to leave your car in the street with the blinkers on. The inn is located over several restaurants and the inn itself smelled of old spaghetti sauce. All rooms are upstairs and ours was hot. The thermostat resets to 70 and the very small ceiling fan was not over the bed, so it was hard to sleep. The TV is very small, maybe a 19inch, so watching from bed was difficult. We did not eat the breakfast, but the afternoon refreshments were slice and bake cookies(homemade!) and Crystal Light lemonade. The inn had a great deal of charm and was clean. If you like bed and breakfasts and decide to try this place notice their cancellation policy. You have to pay for your entire visit when checking in and there are no refunds.
