Very bad service and quality - go elsewhere

This is the kind of place where they don't worry about service and quality because tourists will flock to this town anyway because of its vicinity to Zion National Park. So consider yourself lucky to be reading this review and steer clear from "Golden Hills Motel" in Mt. Carmel Junction Utah.
1) Very shoddy interiors. Lights that don't work or appliances that make you think you will get electrocuted if you touch them - bad/ open wiring.
2) The room given to us said it was going to have a tv and instead we were given a tv (built in the mid-seventies) connected to a cheap dvd player and if we wanted to watch tv (say, the weather channel?) we could borrow a dvd from the lobby (seriously?). We tried to be civil with the owner of the place (John) but all we got is that we are lucky enough to get this room in this area.
3) The light in the room would not work and he sent his 10 year old daughter with a new light bulb to fix it - whom we had to to help to get the job done (don't they have rules against child labor in utah?)
Anyway, we were very disappointed and also felt insulted by how we were treated. There are some really bad motels and this one tops them all. You get what you pay for, and for this motel you get even less. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.
