My brother and I were on a motorcycle trip around California back in May. Met up in Frisco and had planned to camp at Millerton Lake. Campground was full and after working that night and riding all day, we weren't looking to keep riding. Found this place, the gal running it was very nice and welcoming, the restaurant had good burgers and cold beer. I had no problem sleeping, I think some of you need to rough it a bit. If you want a five start hotel, then stay in one instead of complaining about these private owned hotels. Oh, and some of you that want to bitch, learn to god damn spell.
Next time I'm down that way, I'm staying there again. Beautiful area. I liked the hotel just fine.
I asked for a room with a tub and they took me to this room behind the motel up a dirt road (I had to follow in my car)and it was really creepy. (Bates motel came to mind) The mattress didn't have proper sheeting and the comforter was thrown carelessly. It was missing drawers in the bathroom. It didn't seem safe as it was not attached to the regular motel and the extra rooms were next to some trashy trailers in the middle of nowhere. It didn't even have a regular door only a sliding one which also didn't seem safe. I then drove around the front to an attached room and being that the room was right on the main road it was loud and again the mattresses did not have proper bedding and it because the front office was dirty I assumed the rest of it was as well. I do not recommend this motel to anyone especially those with children. I paid the money because of the 24 hour cancellation policy but had to leave because it was so creepy and wierd. There was also no door to the bathroom only a large curtain going across the room. I recommend staying somewhere else. Even the vending machines were very dirty. I would be afraid to sleep in those beds...
Let me put it this way, i got in after a social gathering around 2:00 AM and left at 5:00 AM the room was dirty, the air conditioner didn't work properly, i couldn't figure out how the t.v turned on and they left the windows open in 100 plus degree weather. i couldn't wait to get out of there. the porch had never been swept.old rickety, junky furniture with water rings all over the surface decorated the room. a lamp thast looked like it was rescued by the good will. i found the final foor it in a drawer so at least i could tirn it on without the shade falling off. the place was a dump. expensive too at 70.00 per night. i didn't trust using the shower. everything was covered with dust and dingy.
