\"Retro?\" you bet

There is a comfort in the familiar. Three generations of my family and I just booked three units at the Cutty Sark and stayed for a week. It was a wonderful bonding experience. We all agreed that it was just like we, the older generation, remembered our summer vacations, with our parents, in the 60's. The Kochs have maintained the pristine efficiencies in mint condition. The decor is pure retro. No apoligies for not being modern and we liked it just the way it is. Featured articles have been written about the Cutty Sark in "Southern Living Magazine" and "Virginia Living Magazine" The Owners and staff, mostly international students, could not have been more helpful. Their attention to the comfort and needs of their guest could not be surpassed. And the pool. Oh, My! the pool. That small little pool is a wonderful asset. They keep it heated to a perfect 80 degrees. So relaxing after you come in from the Ocean. We stayed in it for long conversations when we came off the beach. Just like a big Hot-tub. All three generations thought it perfect even the three pre-teen boys..The locations was great for all. It is located at the quiet North end of the Virginia Beach Resort area but it is on the Trolley route for the oldsters and the young one can walk to the excitement in ten minutes. It is also on the Bike path so that you can ride on the boardwalk path or go north to a beautiful State park. Would we go back? in a heartbeat. While there we met other guest who had stayed at the Cutty Sark 21-30 years continuously, every summer. Yes, we'll go back, too.
