great family run motel

My family and I stayed here for the 40th Manzanar Pilgrimige..great room, 2 twins, queen minifridge, microwave, coffeemaker and a nice continental breakfast in the mornings. BBQs and fire ring in the back for people to use. The owner and her son are great and very helpful. Would stay there again!

Respite for a weary family

Our room was immaculate. Large room with 2 twins and 1 queen... table & 4 chairs, small fridge/coffee bar. What a pleasant stop in the Owens Valley. Would definitely recommend.

Overnight in the Eastern Sierra

On my way traveling north on Hwy 395 toward Yosemite I booked a night at this motel. It had an AAA Auto Club rating. The proprietor was friendly, helpful and courteous. For my quick overnight stay the motel was clean, easy to locate and the price was great.

A roof over your head

A warm and dry place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Ideal only if you have no choice but to stay in Independence, which has few amenities. Across the street from the courthouse- probably frequented by out of town lawyers. Relatively friendly and accomodating staffers. Prices are standard for average no-name motels. The nearby Still-Life Cafe is great for high-end French dining if you're not in a hurry.
