A friend and I were on a 6K mile motorcycle trip from Texas to California. We got stuck in the Sequoia's in the rain, dark, cold, and fog. We were supposed to camp at Hume Lake but due to the conditions opted to head into Fresno but then came across Cyndi's Lodge. They had a cabin available up the hill behind the lodge. The price was right and we were delighted to find how clean the cabin was. Cyndi and other staff even came out to check on us to make sure that we didnt need anything. The beds were very comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We were also informed that they are working on rennovating the place... Thanks Cyndi!!!!!
I'm a normal guy with no ax to grind. Have never posted comments on any business / service . . . but I couldn't no let others know about Snowline cabins and Al Toovy. By far the worst place I've ever stayed in my life . . .filthy, run down, smelly, dirty carpet, kitchen ill equipped with refridgerator that didn't work, no hot water for showers, ants / and I mean a lot of ants in the bedroom. Way overpriced! and no doubt the ruddest owner / manager - Al Toovy - I've ever done business with. He's a real jerk. And it turns out he's well known in the community with a terrible reputation. He's simply a scam artist who is falsly advertising the condition of his property.
Not a fun experience.
I do not reccomend it to others.
It is really not worth the money.
There are other reputable places to stay in the area.
Just stay away from Snowline Cabins, stay far away.
EVERYTHING advertised about this place is a lie!!! Stay away!!! The other reports of mice, bugs, urine stains, filth, dilapidation, crappy furniture ARE ALL TRUE!!! That beautiful photo on their website of the sweeping countryside.... was taken from one of the bathrooms - THE OUTHOUSE!!! Raw sewage with its lovely aroma was oozing onto the concrete floor of the only other "bathroom", which must be reached by going outside the building (which is a converted barn by the way). If the manager tells you the place is not ready at check in time, that's a ruse to get you to visit Sequoia and come back when it's too late to go elsewhere: do it! go elsewhere. The experience ruined our family vacation and we nearly had to threaten to break legs to get our deposit back. BE FOREWARNED.
This place is advertised as a rustic cabin, but is actually a very dilapidated old house and outbuildings. The road is rough with deep ruts, the "cabin" is dirty, buggy, mouse-infested, with broken appliances & lights, dried urine on bathroom floor,lg. holes in the walls open to outside, dirty rugs & furniture. Expensive and owner won't refund anything.
We stayed in the "motel" in a downstairs "double room". The room looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. There were live spiders hanging from almost every corner of the ceiling, around the toliet, under the sink. Dirt and dust covered most everything. Towels and wash cloths were terribly stained. We were charged 125.00 for one night and the place was so filthy, We will never stay here again
