I have been going to Tall Pine Resort since I was a child. My husband started going with my family when we got married and is one of its biggest fans. My kids now 25 and 27 have been going since infants. For the last 12 years we have gone over the 4th of July (winning the best float trophy one year....I might add). We have met some life long friends during this week 12 years ago. We all go back the same time each year and have the time of our lives. Each of us has been a life long visitor of Tall Pine. Such serenity......you won't believe it! The stocked pond and stream that runs through the property make it a place you will never forget! The large cookout grill near the lake (my husband and son made that)......we enjoy it every year as I am sure other visitors do also. If you love a laid back and rustic atmosphere and NATURE.....you will love this place. The owners, Linda and Richard, are jewels and love this place with all of their hearts. Come take a look.....it is SOOO amazing and beautiful.....however.....you will NEVER get the cabin, Lakeside, over the 4th of July.....because we reserve it each year that we check out!!! Chris.......Texas!
The cabin was okay. The cold water side didn't work in kitchen sink. The weeds were so high we couldn't walk down to the stream by our cabin. The office didn't open til 9:00 and we had to leave early. The day before when we went to the office, they said they were having family problems and come back. When I got home and called about a detailed check out, the person at the office was hateful. Is it too much trouble just to be nice? Just lost a lot of business from OK.
The cabins are clean and nice. The walking trails give plenty of opportunities to view wildlife and you can sit by the stream and reconnect with nature at many places along the way. I started coming as a kid; then took my 3 kids every summer; and now it's the grandkids' turn. We go every summer, never tire of it. The hosts go above and beyond to be helpful.
One summer we had car trouble and they lent us a vehicle and then located a repair shop with towing for us. The lake is amply stocked with trout from large ones to smaller ones. Expect to see a variety of wildlife from the occasional bear, deer, stellar jay birds, hummingbirds.
This is a gem. If visit once, you will be hooked.
No matter where we travel, come summer we
always want to go back to Tall Pines. I
have been going there since I was a child. I took my husband there 41 years ago and our children have loved it through the years. Now they are taking their spouses to Tall Pines. Can't beat it if you love nature!!
Call early or it will be booked!
Missed it last summer and can't wait to return!
This is an absolute dream place very peaceful, the wild animals are my favorite especially the bears. The fishing is wonderful if I cant find my husband around our cozy little cabin I head for the lake to find him.
The owners are just wonderful along with the staff Kudos to them all.
This is a one of a kind. You will not find anything like this left much anywhere. It is tranquility, beauty, and peace at its best. Your away from the hustle of the busy world, but can go into town and touch it again. The rustic cabins, combined with the bubbling river, the faint buzz and squeek of the hummingbirds as they compete for dominance at the feeder. You can look around and have a Stellers Jay , Chipmunks on your porch waiting eagerly to snack. In the fine dew of the morning or late evening the deer will quietly stroll by the lake, or if your lucky by your cabin. This is a family place, one where there are cherished memories to be passed along to suseqent generations. I know, because I am a third generation, and now my son and his new wife ar coming into the fourth quickly. You have to experince it yourself............your hosts there are jewels also!!!!!!!!
