Aspen Lodge, Red River

Reviews were right on! This place is great - central location. You can walk everywhere. Just 2 blocks from the river & ski lift. The owners and their family are wonderful. The hot tub, play ground, fire pit and jeep rental were an added bonus. We stayed in #4. Bathroom is a little small but rest of room is just right. We have already recommended it to our friends. Lodge and town are family oriented. Great views, Great deal and CLEAN!!! Wonderful place to spend the 4th!

This lodge was bought by new owners last fall, the new owners are so nice and went out of their way to make the trip enjoyable. They told my husband they had remodeled the entire inside and it showed. We had a suite with a kitchen that was separated from the hotel side and it was a nice, large room perfect for a family. You could easily walk everywhere and with 75 degree weather in the summer, you should. We also took advantage of the Jeep Rentals the lodge has, in the summer they had a special for a free 4 hours. The owners had some great recommendations on which trails to see and tips on navigating the roads. The only negative thing I can say is the walls are a bit thin, for a couple of nights we had a loud group next to us. They were exceptionally rude in the level of noise (music/yelling going well past midnight), we did not have a problem the other 4 nights. This really should not reflect on the lodge but may be a concern if you are a light sleeper and you are unlucky enough to have bad neighbors. The lodge was extremely reasonable and I would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others.

It was very easy to get to things.They are the only one in town with ATV's to rent.The play ground,out side fire pit and grill was great.Deer and bear come in the parking lot.
