The room. The space. Every thing was great. we can't wait to go back. Our room had a jacozzi tub in it. we had a great time. it was to cold to swim but thats ok.

New Management

Since May of 2006, The Cumberlnad Gap Inn has been taken over by new management and I recantly took a tour through the rooms, and I was impressed. If you have had unpleasant previous experiences at the hotel, I encourage you to give it another chance. I know the owner on a first name basis, and she truly cares about her guests.

Not bad for a small town

Rooms are nicely decorated. We did not have any problems while staying for 3 nights. Walking distance to the main street and shops. The price was very reasonable for the experience.

NOT THAT GREAT...

Power went out, bed frame broke when sat on, NOTHING to do in the area in the evening. Several small local shops and some historical points that require a good hike. HOWEVER every single person we spoke to in the town was SO VERY friendly and welcomed us. Great laternative - a cute but expensive bed and breakfast in town that has a mill wheel on the side powered by a creek running alongside.
