Dixie Plaza Motel, Tazewell

We were very pleased with this motel and the service we received. The owner went out of his way to be certain we were comfortable and our needs were met. The beds were very comfortable, rooms were nice and clean. Wi-FI was excellent had no trouble getting on the internet. We stopped for a night and ended up staying a week. We will stay again.

We just completed an extended stay while our house was being finished. The owner, Jony, was always very friendly and helpful and addressed all of our service concerns quickly. There is a nice dog walking area on the property which was a plus since we had two small dogs with us. The room was clean and comfortable. A good value.

the management very nice and the rooms were very clean and nice ,,the place was very quiet and was a wonderful place to sleep ,,price was what we expected to pay ,,will stay there again the next time we go to the races ,,.close to a great dirt track ,

This is a very friendly place..The owner did his best to make us feel at home.The rooms were very clean & tidy..The bathroom was sparkling clean. We did not expect an independent motel to have such a good standard.The motel provides wireless internet ,swimming pool,TV,microwave oven & a small fridge.So much for a low price...hard to believe but that is what we got.

On July 02 2009 we stayed at the Dixie Plaza Motel in Tazewell,TN.I &my boyfriend were very impressed.As an independent motel,we did not have high expectations however,it is hard to describe but the easy way to express is that this motel has Holiday Inn type of standard.It was very clean,clean sheets,pillow cases,bathtub,new carpet,new mattresses,etc.The internet access was excellent.We actually have the best memory of our stay at this motel.We actually asked the lady at the front desk,she told us the motel was re-built in late 2007.It explains why it was so pleasant.We sure did not expect such a nice motel in a small town of Tazewell.I guess the owner deserves the credit to run this motel like a franchise operation.

We had a great time and intend to come back every year. It was nice to stay in a place owned and run by a family. The service was good, and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were honestly priced and clean. We ordered Dominoes pizza and had a lot of fun watching cable tv. Overall, our stay at the Dixie Plaza Motel was very pleasant.

The owners were friendly and helpful but the rooms were filthy. We stayed there a few days and all they did was bring in clean towels. Carpets hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in quite a long time. Refrigerator froze everything. Microwave was disgusting. Remote didn't work. Clock and lights above bed didn't work. Bathtub was very dirty and had no plug. Would not recommend this hotel.

Although located very conveniently and staff was pleasant, we found the Dixie Plaza to be very Dirty and a Very poorly kept establishment. Would not recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed here. It is under new management now. There was also a fire recently that has forced them to renovate the buildings. The room we stayed in was much more expensive than the website stated. The guy who runs it is friendly, but the rooms were just filthy. There is a lot of dirt on the floors and due to the updating, there were screws laying in the bathroom floor. At night there is a very bright light outside of your room and it turns off at midnight. It is very annoying if you have to get up early. Also, there are some pretty skeezy people standing around up at the front desk. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone unless you're very desparate.
