Open Roads Motel, Piggott

Seeing purple people on your tv. Door that doesn't lock very well. Had to ask manager for tolet paper. Dirty floors. But, King size bed was compfy. Hope we wern't sleeping on bed bugs! Outside of those issues, it was allright. I don't think the owners care to much. But it's the only Motel in Piggott. Next time I'll drive to Kennett Mo. Another 25 miles away.

Dislikes 1. Had to have a lesson on how to open the door. 2. Had to have a lesson on how to lock the door when leaving the room. 3. 1 small light in room. 4. Electric cord blew up on me. 5. No phone in room. 6. Called the front desk from cell phone and got the answering machine. 7. Manger did a lot of complaining about the owners. 8. Our last night , we got back just after dark. Not a car in the lot. No light on in the office. We were the only ones at the motel. A little scary. 9. T.V. was ok if you like seeing people looking purple. Good Things about the place 1. Did have a comforable bed.

Had to stay down here for a wedding, and to be honest I was worried the whole trip down as to what we would get. The room was spacious and clean quite comfortable. Yes the TV is old, but still gets cable and it works so I can't complain about that at least I had TV. The Ac worked fine and so did all the amenities. Yes There was NO coffee in the room or in the lobby... but for Crying out loud people!!! You are paying 45 dollars a night for a nice room... and if you can't get coffee at the various restaraunts within a three block drive of the hotel I am sorry. I don't see what everyone else is expecting, if you want 5 star service then go to a 5 star hotel. For where we were and the amenities we got and the price we paid we were very happy. I have paid a lot more for rooms and fancier hotels, and had them disappoint me a lot more. If you need to stay on a moments notice it is just fine.... but if you are a whiner then keep going. The only thing I was disappointed with was that ONE lightbulb was burned out... but I think I can live with that.

Please, please don't ever stay at this horrible motel!!! I had two rooms, one for me and one for my employees and both were infested with cockroaches. We found them at about 5pm and the owner still charged me for the room. The rooms were very dirty and smelled very bad. No clocks in the rooms, TV's are from 1970, the towels are about the size of two hand towels combined, the owner can't speak English so good luck trying to communicate with him, holes in the walls and bathroom door, no kleenex, no coffee in the rooms or the so called lobby, no irons, no hangers!!! Disgusting!!!!
