A Clean Vintage motel, wish they all were like this
Found hotel on internet review, stated it was the older motor hotel, but clean and functional. I was all that and more. Called the owner/manager by phone to make a reservation, said he would save us a room and didn't need the Credit card number. He was surprised I found him on the internet.
The Plus's were, in center of town on a bypassed section of Hwy 67, rather quiet location but continent to walk to restaurants and 24 flavors of ice cream. Cheap, we stayed in a clean safe room for under $50. Parked right by our room door. Were allowed to have our CLEAN dog stay in a crate in the room. Owner gave us directions to a few restaurants in area. Felt safe walking around neighborhood at night. Oh, did I mention the room was Clean? linens smelled like bleach, including the bead spread and bathroom spotless. Plenty of hot water and towels for the big tub.
The minus's were, rooms are dated, recliner chair has seen better days. The bathroom is dated and was not a lot of counter space in our room.
This is a Vintage Motel, with the Neon sign out front and the owners name on the window. Don't expect the Ritz, but the is the best motel of its CLASS I have ever stayed in on my journeys across America.
