Carr's Northside Cottages & Motel, Gatlinburg

I loved being so close to Gatlinburg and Pidgen Forge but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Carrs is like being in the country. The location is quite, peaceful and like a home away from home. My family and I will go back. The rooms were so clean and the service was wonderful. My grand daughter loved the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking for us and saved her money for intertainment. The queen size beds were comfortable, The living room and kitchen were perfect. We will go back. In fact My granddaughter is asking us to plan a trip to Carrs very soon.

WE GO THERE EVERY YEAR WE ENJOY IT YEA WE NO STUFF ISNT NEW THERE BUT ITS HOMEY AND ITS LIKE HOME YEA I MISS THE PHONES BUT I HAVE CELL PHONES SO ITS COOL !!IF U GO TO STAY THERE JUST EXPECT TO BE TREATED GOOD AND WITH RESPECT AND TO BE VERY RELAXED WHEN U LEAVE!!!

It was SO CLEAN! I read the negative reviews and all I can say is that we had a wonderful time in a VERY CLEAN room w/ kitchenette. It was so quiet and the area near the water is so nice to relax with a fire. Just a lovely stay.

My family really loved staying at Carr's. There's nothing we didn't like. Our favorite place, was the little area next to the river. I would recommend Carr's to anyone looking for a affordable,clean,family friendly and relaxing place to stay. We will probably stay at Carr's whenever we take a vacation to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We have stayed at other hotels and nothing in my opinion, even comes close to Carr's.

I usually spend a lot of time reading reviews and getting as much information as possible before booking a motel,etc. The reviews on this one was really good except for a few. The pictures looked great, they were willing to accept two of my children sharing a two bedroom townhouse with their two babies and four other children. And the lady booked the room for us was very friendly and nice. We booked way in advance. Then my oldest daughter booked a room afterwards, When I called to inquire where we were in proximity to each other, I was told that my husband and I have a cottage (which was nice, except the bed being hard as a board and the pillows were worthless), And they said my younger daughters with the 5 children/babies would be in the floor level townhouse with the oldest daughter, her husband and daughter above them (upstairs). When we arrived, my oldest daughter had gotten there the day before, demanded a room on the lower level, and was given my other daughters (with the 5 children's room!!!!) Not only were we furious over that, but the upstairs room had feces on the bedspread ( they just gave us a bag to place the soiled one in, and another spread), and one of the bedrooms had NO air conditioning in it!!! When I reported this to the office, the lady (quite hatefully, I might add), said all of the rooms were like that!! The next day I had went to the oldest daughters' room and ALL of her rooms were air conditioned and actually too cold . And the upstairs room that had no air, did have a heater which was stuck on for some time. The office had been so friendly during booking and checking in. But as soon as we reported the first problem, the phoniness showed through. I not only will NEVER stay there again, but feel they owe my daughters a refund and an apology. If there is a corporate office I plan on finding it. And report it to the better business bureau, triple A or any other organization that may make the mistake of being associated with them.

This is our second time we have stayed with Carrs Cottage.We have no complaints what so ever. Our room was very clean,If there was anything we needed all we had to do is ask.We will be planning a stay with them in the future.

Very nice place to stay. Clean and reasonable. Everything was in working order. Even the water tempature was fine. I read reviews the water tempature went from hot to cold before getting there and was nervous about that. It didn't have a motel feel but more of a home like feel. The people where very nice and excellent customer service. We will stay there again. It was quiet, and quaint. we stayed in 200 section. We will go back there. We stayed there b/c we came down to get married.

My husband, myself and our 3yr old son just came back from a weekend trip to Gatlinburg. We stayed at Carr's and it was WONDERFUL. The people were very friendly, the rooms were CLEAN (and believe me I inspected it before I even would allow my family into the room because of the bedbug epidemic across the nation). It's a nice older place and if you're looking for peace and quite, just the right distance from the busy streets in an affordable family oriented place CARR"S is it~! We will be back...I highly reccommend Carr's if you're looking for an affordable, clean, quite, friendly place to take your family. The river ran right thru the property and our son LOVED that...we had to take him every morning to see the "fast waters" as he called it! It's not the fanciest place but it's exaclty what a family on a budget needs!

My husband and I just left Carr's Cottage. It is our 1 yr.wedding annv. I was perfect. Carr's is beautiful,quiet,and just what we needed to have fun and relax. Its walking distance to downtown Gatlinburge.......but,not to close to be distracted by noise or traffic.

This place is beyond disgusting. The place looks and smells as if it is never cleaned. The furniture is all goodwill quality. I have a 3 year old and would not bathe her in the tub. I would only take a very quick shower. I have stayed here three times in the past 25 years and this will definately be my last. Do not recommend it to anyone.
