We honeymooned there in November 2006. We stayed in the room pictured on their brochere. I felt like a princess in that huge bed. The room decor was very romantic, our service was wonderfull and the gift basket was beyond imagination. The basket was so full of edible goodies, we really didn't need to leave the room to eat for the weekend ( great for honeymooners ).The staff was so kind and met our every need. The re-modeling their doing is making this place even better, every room a different theme. The only draw back was the bathroom. they had yet to be updated with style and decor to match the rooms. a full bath with old claw footed tub or jacuzzi tub would enhance the rooms. Other than that perhaps a bit of romantic flower gardens to enhance the beauty of the grounds. If your looking to hideaway in your room and enjoy the atmosphere of the theme of the room, relax and enjoy your time there or enjoy the river or go into town and stroll threw the vintage shops this is a place you don't want to miss. I can't wait to go back.
