Oh Boy, bring warm clothes!

We booked 3 nights at the Kernville Inn in December 2005. The Inn has a 72 hour cancellation policy. We had a room with an adjacent room for the children. The adjacent room did not have a heater which we found out in the middle of the freezing night. After the first night our 4 year old boy got sick because of this cold. We asked for the manager to discuss the issue, but she was not available. Prior to the second night we informed the hotel that we could not possibly stay for the 3rd night, as our boy needed to get to a doctor ASAP. The next morning we did check out, but since the manager was still not available, no refund for the last night was issued. We asked for the manager to contact us, which never happened. An expensive and unpleasant stay!
For the price of $136 per night, stay in a reputable hotel instead!
