we would stay again
By Melissa, 2/17/12
I liked convenience factor to casino as I don't gamble but my husband does and we could still work around having 1 car up there. I didn't like the towels, husband complained they felt like drying off with sand paper and thought it was funny sheets and toels didn't match, but it WAS clean. We DID have free wifi (unlike casino hotel), fridge, coffee, decent TV and channels as we were warned rooms upstairs did NoT have these, people where nice, and overall it was OK. Price was nice too $55 a night, we would stay here again. HOWEVER, there are much nicer hotel/motels in the area. If you are a room snob or picky this place is not for you, but if you want a decent room that costs less than most its going to be an okay place for you to stay. I have stayed in much worse, most people don't spend their away time from home in a motel if you are planning to do that, you are staying in the wrong town anyway. It was an OK place to SLEEP.

Affordable with a great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/10
Searching for an affordable place to stay in Cherokee, NC turned out to be an experience indeed, but I found a great place in the end. Frontier had a warm friendly staff with clean affordable rooms located right across from the casino. I have recommended this place to all my friends. Will definitely be back.

Will stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/10
Rooms were clean and well kept. There was a light bulb out when I entered the room and I called the front desk; they sent someone right away to replace the bulb and apologized for my inconvenience. Very friendly and helpful. Above all it was a great price and a great location across the street form the casino. I will be back.

Disgusting, avoid this place at all costs.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/10
This place is a disgusting dump. When you check in, they hand you mismatched towels and washcloths, the whites ones being so filthy it looks like someone cleaned patio furniture with. The button was also missing on the television so when i went to push the on button, my finger went inside the tv hitting a wire and receiving an electric jolt. I didn't notice the missing button until it was too late. All i kept thinking about was what if that had been a child. The worst detail was that upon pulling down the sheets on the bed, there was a cockroach under the sheets. I killed it on the spot, grabbed my bags and hit the road. There was no way I was staying there. After going to the front desk to tell them all of this and how them the roach, the woman working there (who looking like she just rolled out of bed) couldn't have cared less. I left only to realize i left my glasses in the bathroom so i went back only a few moments later only to realized they just pulled the sheets back up on the bed leaving squished bug guts on the sheets from the roach that I'd killed. I don't see how the local health authorities allow this place to stay in business.

We will never go back, do not recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/10
My complaints are as follows: 1. Stained and unclean sheets on bed. I was told that the sheets had been cleaned that morning and that the stain was probably one that would not come out. I can understand a small stain on the corner of the sheet or something of that nature, but this stain was in the middle of the sheet and larger than a medium sized ball, which made it very visible to the cleaning staff when changing the bed. Then I was told that they could be changed but that it would take a while as staff was busy. Therefore, I changed them myself. 2. There were so many bugs flying around in the room and attacking us that we could not sleep. When I brought this matter to your attention I was presented with a can of bug spray as if this was normal. Again this problem was passed on to me to attempt to correct but there was no way we could stop the bugs from flying. 3. There were spider webs hanging from the mirror, which also tells me that the room could not have been cleaned that morning. 4. not only were the accommodations unsanitary but it was also unsafe. The head board from the bed just fell down from the wall and luckily we did not have any small children with us and we did not get hurt. 5. On Saturday I came to the front desk to complain that the towels and wash clothes were dirty in my room. I was given another set of wash clothes that were black and brown and expected to use them to clean myself with. It looked as if someone had cleaned the wheels of their car with them and tried to wash them out by hand. As you guys are well aware, this is a tourist attraction town and you have guest from all over coming and looking for a clean place to stay as well as feel safe when they are away from home. That was not our experience and this stay was truly a disappointment and we are very displeased with your customer service. I would not recommend that anyone share this experience if they can help it. I notified the manager on duty of my concerns and problems during my stay and was treated with disrespect and as if I was not a paying customer. These rooms wer 110.00 per night and defienetly not worth it.

Bad Experience
By Darlene, 8/6/10
This is a terrible place to stay. It cost us $98 for one night and what we got for that $98 was ... a green pool, no in-room ammenites ( no coffee, no wifi, no microwavce, no hair dryer ) the television reception was awful, the chair by our NON-smoking room looked like they just got it out of the garbage dump, there was a bucket of cigarette butts beside the chair, the outlet by the bathroom sink was so loose nothing would stay plugged in. It was the most expensive place we had stayed in on our whole two week trip throughout the mid east states. All other hotels/motels/cabins were beautiful and most under $79.99 a night. Even though it is close the casino I would recommend that people take the time to look around for other options first. =)

We will come back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/09
New owners and they are beginning to remodel. Much cleaner than before. A small frig and microwave are needed in each room. The office staff could be more friendly and available. Never answer the phone.

we will stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/06
rooms were clean, the only thing was the room had small ants. the location was perfect for us and we reserved our room for 65 dollars a night and were staying 2 nights. they didn't mention a 3rd night free like some motels/hotels, and also when we arrived the rooms were 80 dollars. after being told 65 then traveling and paying 80 was disappointing. overall, we will be staying there again, but taking a little extra money. we even asked for manager, but he was not available all weekend=lol.
