Unsafe. Unclean.

Spent the weekend there after booking and paying $300/nightly. Could not leave once I paid for it on principle, but I should have. The units were unclean with terrible smells. There were no blinds for the windows and we were a party of women. Our calls for maintenance were answered late and were left unfinished. The carpets were dirty. The beds were clearly made of poorly washed sheets & quilts and there was another guest who fled due to actual bedbugs. My bed collapsed three times (No, I'm not overweight). The towels and pillows were very old and worn thin by age and use. The cookware made available in the units were rusted and unusable. Mousetraps were left in the cabinets. The master closet had no hangers or bar. No ironing board and other smaller amenities. Some of these complaints may seem petty, but when you're charged $300/a night for a modicum of luxury, you expect these smaller things to be worth the price. Please check for more reviews on other travel websites before booking here. Example: The website for Mountain Village Chalets claims that the Biltmore estate is 'minutes' from the property. It's approximately 36-minutes on winding country roads.
