Geneva Motel, Lake Lure

we loved it it was relaxing to us nobody messed with us and was nice to us i be going back this year even though my husband passed i want to go back and relax

This was our 3rd year staying at the Geneva Inn, the new managment is horrible! The rooms are nasty and you can't eat or drink anything unless you buy it from the Tiki Bar. The Staff will run you off and make you throw away your food and drinks! We had over $100.00 in ribs we bought some where else and we were not allowed to have them outside at the picnic areas. We were hassled all night long! For the price you pay a night to stay at that dump you should be allowed to come out of your rooms with food! We will never stay here again.

we took our kids years ago,they loved the pool and river.took our grands this past summer. we called parents to because they begged to stay longer.they loved the pool and river,dived from boulders,yownu can walk to town great view of rock! its quiet,older but proven.nice to us always.

The worst place I have ever stayed! When we arrived two of the windows were open . One had no screen. Both were full of cob webs. The carpet was wet. Literally sloshing between your toes. The king side bed was broke on the right side so bad you would roll into the floor. The bed had only three small pillows on it. When we asked for an extra one we were told NO by the rude staff. The air conditioner and the lamp were powered by a six way extension Now let me tell you about the bathroom… The fixtures are the original to the place! When the commode is flushed it takes forever to fill back up and it is so loud you cant hear yourself think for at least five minutes please note it requires two flushing’s to get the toilet paper down. The shower has no water pressure and they offer no wash rags or hand towels From what I’ve experienced you should be grateful you have a bath towel! I would not recommend the Geneva motel to ANYONE and I will never stay there again.

Well, when we got there the lady at the counter was a bit rude. We overlooked that and finally got to our room. A very small room at that. It had a king size bed and a TV, not much room for sure. It had a very old and out dated bathroom. In the bathroom we had an ant problem. The ants were everywhere, around the toilet, the sink and even in the bath tub...GROSE! Oh I was doing hair for a wedding that was taking place at 11:00 AM the next morning so I had to be up by 6:00 AM! THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE AN ALARM CLOCK, or telephone! We went to the front desk and they didn't even have one to rent out or anything! We had to drive around Lake Lure until we could find somewhere that sold alarm clocks, so we could be up in enough time to get ready! I don't think we will ever stay here again!
