great peaple and even better wi-fi. older property, but great rooms. They were working on renovations when I was there.

This property is an excellent place to stay. I am not sure why the last person made the coments he did. I stay hear all the time. The Ice may have been a issue only because of the Drought in the Carolina's and the water restrictions. But they always have Ice available at the office if needed. extra charge for wi-fi was only $1.00... what a bargain. $28 a night and for a room with 2 beds and for $1 you get wi-fi. $29 a night is the best rate I have ever gotten in the area. The other places advertise $28 and $35 a night, but when you get there it is double the price... This place is the real bargain.

I chose this motel after reading all the rave reviews here, and had difficulty finding it in the dark. Needless to say, all the single-bed rooms for $21 were gone, and I found out the price jumps another $11 for two beds. The rooms, clean and attractive, are wired for free DSL, but wifi is offered at an additional charge. Breakfast is coffee & Danish. Bikers were sitting outside their rooms, there was a shower but no tub, I had to ask for bath towels, the driveway was gravel, and the ice machine had no ice during our stay. If you get the $21 single-bed room, this place is a good deal....but if not, I'd prefer the Royal Inn in Selma with heated pool and spa for $1 more.
