What a novel motel. When growing up I watched a TV series called Route 66. There are photos in an album and names of Hollywood stars who have stayed in each of the rooms. True you can hear the traffic thru town until it stops around 8:00. The trains are a different story. They tend to run most of the night. For the price, you can't begrudge the noise however. Clean and cozy are good words to describe the place. If you are a nostalgia buff, like me, you'll find a world of memories within these walls.
The rooms were small and cozy, and clean. It definately takes on an older motel feel, and accomodations. The walls were very thin, so I could hear all night the people next door, and the traffic doing by on Route 66. The heater in the room made a very loud banging noise all night. I asked for the code to the wireless and was given it, but got attitude when I called to ask if the password needed to be in upper or lower case letters. I think the lady I spoke to was an owner. Pets or smoking are not allowed at this motel (although the office smelled somewhat smokey). I would find some place further from the road, and woudn't stay here if it was cold as you won't be able to sleep due to the heater.

is right next door, with many restaurants within walking distance. The police station is one block away, and post ...
