Will not use your hotel, until...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/5/10
I was visiting a co-worker today shortly after leaving work for the day, The friend had within 12 hours, just arrived at your hotel. My friend your customer is in town with an extended family, in which I mean he and his family booked two rooms, one room separated his and his family members staying at your hotel. I arrived to welcome my friend into town, and couldn't find the room number so I parked and walked toward the office, I noticed two uniformed men, I asked them to direct me to the room number, they gave a short unsure awnser, I do not know if they were employees or guest. I found the room, and visited for approxamately 30 minuets, I was then about to leave, I walked next door to say good by to all. and back to the room to bid my friend fairwell when I was approached by a man, from a short distance he yelled, "who are you" I was not sure at this time who he was or what intentions he had, only that he was angry, and confrontational. I told him my name, he turned his attention to my friend who was standing next to me and said "you got too much traffic." my friend, shocked, and feeling the tension in Shaun's voice, apologized, to Shaun. Shaun is the name of your employee, I later had to call to find out, due to his rudeness and lack of professionalism he never introduced his self, he finished, after stating "you have too much traffic" he said "I have seen you? meaning my friend, "too many times today." my friend still confused and shocked but nice, said we just went to get my friends car because he parked it and looked for the room, and it happened to be quite a ways away form the room. Shaun then finished by saying, almost interrupting my friend while he explained, " I don't want to see you anymore today." I know this is not the way to talk to customers, and especially when you don't introduce your self, to the customer as an employee. I am in a leader ship position in my company also, and I would never not introduce my self, to a stranger on my job site. I was wearing a uniform, the two gentlemen I spoke to when I arrived, were wearing uniforms, and I'm almost positive some of your other guests were also, as for the time this all took place was right about the time most people end a day shift. So I had no idea who Shaun was or what he meant. Shaun was not wearing any type of Guard uniform, or even a name tag, If he would have introduce him self, or been a guard uniform the very, angry, authoritative voice he was using might have been more in character, so in short, I did not like or feel comfortable at all at your hotel, simply because of the interaction I had with Shaun.
