Bad odor put a damper on our stay

We stayed here for just one night. Our room overlooked the harbor so we had a lovely room. However, there was a rather unpleasant odor in the room that kind of put a damper on our stay. If I ever returned to Ocracoke, I would definitely check out other places to stay.

Great stay.

Right on the harbor and a close walk to everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. We would stay here again. Really nothing negative about our experience.

The place was old and dirty, smelled like mildew. Bugs and ants everywhere. advertized a pool but wasn't one. Air conditioner was not working properly. Bad choice......manager was rude too!

Of all the places my wife and I have stayed at over the years, this has to be our favorite. Room was extremely nice and clean. Fabulous view of the harbor, very courteous staff, and great continental breakfast. We'll certainly stay there again when we visit Ocracoke.

Great place to stay

The wife and I honeymooned on Ocracoke and stayed at the Harbor Inn. I don't know where the other posters stayed but our suite was extremely clean and had the best view of the harbor. We would definately stay here again. It was very cold out but the 2 person jacuzzi tub in the modern bathroom more than made up for the weather.

We won't go back

The lady at the front desk on the weekend of August 6 & 7 was very unfriendly. We asked about restaurants that were open for lunch and we were told "some are and some aren't" The same answer was given when we asked about shops in the village.All her answers were very curt as if we were really bothering her. There were three in our party. We discovered when we arrived there were only three coffee mugs in our room. On Saturday morning we asked for an extra mug, well you would have thought we had asked for something out of the ordinary but she would try and get us one. When we checked Monday morning we still didn't have the mug we asked for. Our rooms were cleaned by ladies that were very friendly. The rooms were clean but the furnishings were very shabby for the price of the suite.
