Green Country Motor Inn, Poteau

I read one of the reviews, but i totally disagree with this person. I just stayed a couple of days ago and the rooms were perfect for me. Whoever wrote that review probably just had a disagreement with the employees probably. Every time I visit Poteau, I always use this motel and its worth my money. I recommend this motel to all my friends and most of them use it as well, only couple of friends that like to stay at $100/night stay at other hotels and waste money for no reasons.

I realize that the first review is perfect . I strongly suspect that the people who own this motel wrote it because it couldn't be further from the truth . First off , the place is teaming with house flies and they were everywhere when I got into my room . I would have left but it was too late in the day and I was beat so I took to the task of swatting them . The walls have been cobbled over with sheetrock mud and paint just slathered back over that . The inside of the front door looks like something you'd see inside of a detention center all scratched up and peeling . The front door barely latched and light pours in around it letting more flies in . The sink barely drains and the toilet barely flushes and there is a city dump full of old insulation and other construction waste just blowing around in the wind so there were chunks of the insulation laying up against their building .All I can say is the owners of this motels must be pigs . But if you want a motel for $35 a night then this place is for you ! Grade A Craphole .
