Cashed My Check, But Called Me The Day Before I Was To Be There to Tell Me That I Don't Have a Place to Stay!!!!!!!
I booked a 2 bedroom cottage here Tuesday, May 22, 2007 for May 25, 26, 2007. Was told that the cottage was available. I sent them a check for $80 as requested. I called them on Thursday, May 24 to see if they had a coffee, forgot to ask. Told the lady who I was and she did not say anything about her making a mistake. I check my answering machine later in the afternoon to find that a message was left at 12 something on May 24, saying that a mistake had been made and the cottage was not available. I called and talked with the same lady that I made the reservation with and she, tried to say that someone else made the reservation and had made a mistake and the cottage was already booked. The same lady that I talked both times today, once about the coffee pot and then again when I found out we didn't have reservation, was the same lady that I talked with on Tuesday. My thoughts are and I may be wrong, but one of her customers that has stayed with them before, called and she cancelled out our reservation and put them in and then called us and blame it on a girl that works for them. The girl must have the same voice as hers, because the person that I spoke with all 3 times had the same voice. My family possibly would have been a customer that stayed often, as we will be visiting White Lake more often, now that we have a boat, but I would never call this place again. Thank you to Lasley's we have a nice place to stay for the weekend. I will be checking we them, when we go back. By the way, I mail my check and guess what, they have already cashed it, but I do not have a room.
On Cleanliness, I don't have a clue since I didn't get to stay there, but had to check something.
I looked at your guidelines and I feel you should put this in, so that other people will not have the same experience that my family has had. This is not a personal attack, it is helpfur information.
