Gilgit Serena Hotel, Gilgit

Called and reserved in advance, while traveling from Kansas to Louisiana. Stopped for 3 days, in Glenwood to visit family. Found that hotel was pet friendly which was a definate plus! Didnt get a military discount, but it was still good, price was reasonable. Pets caged while out, no issues with the staff. Although a bit outdated , it was still a good stay. If you want more luxury then go stay in a big city hotel in hot springs or some where else, this is a small town / Mom-Pop's hotel. We would, and will be visiting again, and plan to stay here again, as long as they are still pet friendly.

We paid cash for two nights. They insisted on scanning our credit card because former renters had stolen items and if we did they could deduct it from our card. At checkout I asked if they would check the room and sign off on my receipt that everything was there. She flatly refused and got very nasty and said she would not discuss it anymore. So much for fair play. What's to keep them from deducting $75.00 or $100.00 dollars from our card? We would have to take it court and spend more than that on a lawyer. We also found scuzzy stuff on the blanket. The 1st night the cable was bad but the 2nd night (after it had rained) it was really bad. I normally don't even write reviews but I think people should know up front about this unfair policy. We accommodated them. They should have shown us the same curtesy. Needless to say we wont stay there again!
