Do not visit this place!
By CATHERINE A, 3/22/12
I highly recommend you reconsider staying here! Management is very unprofessional and hung up the phone on me when I needed assistance.

Stay far, far away!!!
By Michelle, 3/1/12
I booked the trip around November 26, 2011 after purchasing a voucher from Half Off Depot. The trip was booked for February 2nd-6th 2012 in celebration of a friend's birthday. I received an e-mail cancelling the trip from Lake Lanier Lodges the day before, February 1st, for unsubmitted paperwork. But I signed and submitted the paperwork the day I booked the trip through fax. I called numerous times trying to talk to someone at the Lake Lanier office to make sure my reservation was still in place to carry on with the trip as planned with no answer. I even went to the corporate office of Half Off Depot trying to figure out how to get this office resolved, and they too called your office and left messages with no response. Lisa is the customer service agent I spoke with on that day. I did not hear anything back from the Lake Lanier Lodges office until Friday afternoon, February 3rd, saying they were leaving the paper to be signed on the door of my cabin along with the key. Now that is a day after I scheduled the reservation and contacted my other guests telling them the trip was now cancelled. I planned this trip ahead of time and took off of work (along with the other 7 guests who were scheduled to go) to be extremely inconvenienced. I started the process of requesting a refund with Half Off Depot that Friday, February 3rd. The customer service agent understood my frustration and told me I should have no issues getting my money refunded. That has not been the case at all.

Also feel like we were had.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/8/12
It was a serene place and we were very forgiving of the lake because we know the lake levels have been severely low. The playground pictured in the picture above did not exist, although I remember seeing the spot where it once existed. When we arrived our cabin looked like it had not been cleaned. Our party really kept the jokes rolling after finding a Victoria's Secret price tag and a false eyelash stuck to the carpet. Additionally (no kidding) it looked like one of the bed's dust ruffel was stained with semen and there was feces on one of the toilet tank lids. We called immediately and demanded the cleaning crew "re"clean our rooms. After finding all this we didn't dare use the hot tub even though it appeared clean. The TVs were like an old school computer monitor and the carpet was very stained. The jokes continued because one side's kitchen had four collanders and wine glasses while the other side's kitchen got the potato peeler and spoons. Honestly if we hadn't had access to both kitchens, I would have been genuinely pissed off. All of these things would have been easy to blow off and fail to mention here on my review because I understand mistakes happen. The kicker was the unresponsiveness of the front desk. While we stayed I called and visited the locked office numerous times leaving at least two messages trying to get clarification on an unexplained credit card charge and was never once able to reach anyone much less a person with any authority. They supposedly rent boats and I'm not sure how our party could have gone about doing that. . . I can only assume lake water levels have left the owner indifferent to the success of his business and sadly that was apparent.

Feeling regretably "HAD"
By Mave, 11/1/11
First of all the play ground on the website doesn't exist in real life and was such a lie to see a fisher price broken down kids hut laying there like some trashy persons front yard. Although the staff is friendly it doesn't make up for how "HAD" I felt spending money on this crappy vacation. the Bathroom smelled like urine, there were Dirty or Blood stains on some of the towels, bedrooms were small and no surface area to place clothes. The TV was the size of a computer monitor and when we arrived some things were dirty - makes me wonder why I spent $30.00 for cleaning when they didn't put the last persons 30 to work. It was a decent view of the woods, but i paid for a lake view... and the trees prevented that from happening. the Water level at the lake is so low that the dock that we hiked to was pathetic. If I had spent a quarter of what I paid, I might have felt like I got what I paid for... very disappointed at 4 days and $444 (total for taxes, non-refundable fees)

Lainer lodges and aqua rentals
By Ron Davis, 9/3/11
Just got back from a great weekend at Lake Lanier. The setting was prefect for my family, my dog and I. My kids played on the play ground and ample space to play with the dog. Was very impressed with the staff from a joyful greeting and cheerful service from the girl at the front dest to the employee whom helped me change a flat. With a returning guest coupon we will surely be back to try out the pontoon.

Highly recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/09
Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with jacuzzi and loved the rustic cabin feel. The kind of place where you can get really comfy. Great fun fishing from the dock- Fun but no fish. Very quiet and very basic. Clean and simple.

Loved this getaway!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/09
As I am an avid antiquer and watersports nut I really enjoyed the cabin. Rented a boat right on site and brought it to the dock at the Lodges which was close to the cabin. Hot tub was fabulous and big! All the amenities of home. Everything you could need was there. I would say it was comfortable and perfect for families. I would certainly go back.
