Vintage Inn, The, Abbeville

This inn is a MUST try for anyone staying in the Abbeville SC area. Gail and Jim are the owners. They are very warm and caring people. The house if wonderful. It has that old time southern warm inviting feeling as soon as you open the door. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is served with gentle music in the background. The food is fantastic and the coffee is great. Take time to sit on the porch in a rocker or swing and everyone going by yells hello. It is like a trip to a spa. The sweet smell of honeysuckle and the quite relaxing atmosphere leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. There are plenty of lovely nickknacks and art work to enjoy and lots of magazines and books to read or just sit in the lovely parlor and look around at all the great things she has collected. This is a must stay if you are looking for a place to stay with charactor and charm. The only dislike we had with the place is we had to leave too soon. Try it out. It is an experience you won't soon forget.
