Horrible. Avoid at all costs. Dirty. Dangerous.
This was, without a doubt, the WORST hotel experience in my long Disneyland vacation history.
Upon driving up to the hotel, I knew we had made a huge mistake.
It's like driving straight into the ghetto. The parking lot is cracked and ugly, the planters around the room doors are full of dirt and garbage.
The showers run hot and cold as people flush toilets, use their showers, run sinks, etc. from other rooms.
The "Continental Breakfast" consists of some of the grossest ten-cent pastries that you could imagine (individually wrapped, and they leave a greasy coating on the inside of your mouth), and burned, awful urn-brewed coffee. And remember, when the urn is empty, you are out of luck!
The furniture is filthy, scratched, and not even fit for giveaway at the Salvation Army.
On the day we were leaving, a violent altercation had taken place, and the police were there investigating.
For my money, I would spend the whole extra fifteen dollars a night and live in cleanliness and safety, and also in a better location (this hotel is a very long walk from Disneyland and California Adventure, and you can also encounter gang members and crazy drug addicts singing on street corners).
The best experience that I have had is at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. Barely more expensive than this Parkside Hotel, and it's safe, clean, and is truly ONE BLOCK from the Disneyland MAIN entrance.
Again, STAY AWAY from the Parkside Inn and Suites at all costs. Fortunately, all it will cost you to stay away is around another fifteen bucks a night, and this will insure cleanliness, very close proximity to the park, and your family's SAFETY.
