Great Value, Pleasant Surprise
Although we were a little apprehensive to book this hotel after reading the reviews, we just couldn’t beat the price. We arrived, expecting the worst, but it was actually really pleasant. We plan on staying there again.
*The room was big, clean, and air-conditioned, but it still had that slight Ana-slime air odor. (Anaheim is hot and humid, for those of you who don’t know)
*I thought the bed was comfy...but my boyfriend disagreed.
*Our room was pretty quiet, but we stayed in the singles area…no kiddies.
*The toiletries were nothing fancy, but everyone brings their own these days. (Make sure you bring your own towels...Seriously…they are not joking when they say they are tiny and thin!)
*Great location. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the free Timon tram that takes you to the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure/Downtown Disney, so you save on parking. (Keep in mind, my legs are probably a lot longer than your children’s. If your wee ones are really young, you may want to pile them in a stroller)
*The Jacuzzi was awesome after walking around Disneyland all weekend. The pool looked nice, but never made it in.
*Nearby restaurants, including CoCo’s, several Denny’s, several McDonald’s, Tony Roma’s, Subway, and convenience stores.
*There was always hot water to take showers, however the nozzle is backwards (hot is cold and cold is hot)
*The air-conditioner had no knobs or switches, but it worked great…you just had to flip the light switch on next to it.
*TV was big and had cable. The fridge was a descent size, and the microwave worked well. (In other words, bring your own food, like sandwiches, to save a few bucks on theme park food!)
