No ability to cancel reservations as NO one at front desk ever answers phone (EVER) and they still keep deposit and won't return it (ever.) EVER. Duplicate Credit card charges mysteriously appear, but No manager is in there (ever.) EVER. This is NOT a Hotel It's a farce and it Should be TORN DOWN, due to filth, grime, BED BUG infestation, Owners/ Managers should be prosecuted for CROOKS they ARE and all TRAVEL SITES should STOP stupidly REPRESENTING THEM. Join Hilton Honors and stay just as close for $20 more/ nite. Many gorgeous Hiltons to choose from, some have shuttles and free breakfasts!
My friends and i stayed her because we booked last min and other hotels were booked. We had the same issue that another poster had, We got charged twice. The day after we booked the manager called us saying the card did not go through and then said we need to book again so we did. Then my friend looked at his account and saw he was charged twice and the first charge was not refunded. Thats where our nightmare started. We called every day trying to contact a manager but we didnt get anyone. Finally we got a manager and they said they will call us back in an hour and they didnt. So we checked in and tried to talk to a manger then but no body knew when a manager would come in. Finally when we checked out I asked them and they said that they finally did our return the day before. If you really have to stay here just remember to bring your own towels, soap and shampoo. The stuff they give you isnt going to last and the towels are so dry I got terrible rub burn. This place is terrible.
reserved for 2 nights stay(2bd), you think its a great deal $57 on Thursday and $60 on Friday. I went with my husband, 2kids. The first room we go in at 2:15pm which was check in time was barely cleaned by the housekeeper, she left door opened while she was cleaning the other room. we asked if it was ready and she said yes. when stepping in we could smell a gassy propaine smell, i tried to air it out. after dropping our stuff we went to get my bussiness done, came back to the room around 7pm. room still smells a bit but try to manage to sleep hoping it'll go away. the shower was completely ridiculous! while showering the water went from warm, cold, warm, hot, warm and so on for every 2min, talking about a nice warm shower... pssh. still on the first night, i notice my girl's feet were dirty(they are 10 and 5). they were playing run around the room all night. i've asked them to wash their feet twice. it finally click in my head and i looked at my feet, omg mine was as dirty as theirs, worster than going outside barefooted. they were dirty black!
the next day i couldnt stand the smell of the propaine and i ask for a new room. the guy didnt hesitate to give us a new room nor ask any questions(i wondered why but i did told him my reasons). the 2nd room had no propaine smell until u turn on the ac, wth. the shower knob, u had to pull out further to work and u had to be very careful because this time, if u turn too much it'll be too hot or too cold. Floor was still awful, u either had to keep washing your feet or keep shoes on.
i'm also charged twice so i'm actually at the moment getting this resolved.
You notice the 1star is considered *awful*
Wish there was a way to give a negative rating!
The location and outside appearance are decieving. The door wouldn't open and the clerk treated me like an idiot when I complained, telling me to PULL UP! Still did not operate correctly, and did not form a tight seal when shut. The room was located directly outside the coke and ice machines and there was constant noise. When we asked to change rooms, we were rudely told there weren't any available yet the parking lot was almost empty. The shower was made for short people and the carpet and tile were sticky. The towels felt like sand paper and were small and very thin. The tub was dirty with hair and mold.
Worst of all.........the bed was infested with bed bugs! I am now completely covered in bed bug bites!
Advice: Don't stay here.....Not worth the money savings, more headache than anything else.

Once they get your credit card number they will charge you for nights that you weren't even there. They will refuse to refund or reverse the charges and rudely hang up on you. Mason is the Owner/GM and Kay is his puppet manager. There are plenty of other hotel options out there. Stay away from Alamo Inn where they prey onpeople looking to save money by staying at this cheap place.
OK for $40 bucks and 1.2 miles from Disneyland main gate, one block from Disney property. I knew it wasnt the Taj Mahal. Alamo was a great value, here were the cons: seems like a 1950 model motel with wall unit heater and old restroom, everything had an old feel, with old decor, and hard bed. the 6 hrs a day we spent in this hotel for sleeping, SO WHAT. the pros: knowlegable and friendly staff. private patio with table and chairs, and the accepted my pooch. super strong water pressure and hot hot water for days. the price was low and the location was perfect. i was expecting much and got more. there is elevators and i got enternet in my room tho they said only at the lobby, and hot coffe every morning.
My sister and I stayed here for our birthday trip to Disneyland. The outside of the hotel is deceiving. The outside is very nice and well decorated. We went to go check in and the guy only said what he had to, to us. We went to go open the door with our keys and it would not open. My sister went back to see what was wrong and he said you have to pull up on the handle. He thought my sister was a complete idiot because she didn't know that the handle had to be pulled up, cause that is so normal. We got inside the room and it was extremely basic. The TV had no remote and the carpet felt greasy. The pillows on the bed were extremely soft and the towels to dry off from the shower with were barely larger than hand towels. You need like five to dry off. Plus you need to be shorter than 5'3" to take a shower or else you have to bend way down, i'm 5'9'', it was uncomfortable. The shower also only has enough hot water for one shower. This place completely sucked. We should have known, you get what you pay for. I suggest pay the extra amount and stay somewhere nicer for your trip. Plus it is a long walk to Disneyland, not a short one like they say.
OK lets start with i don't wright reviews like this but after a night at the alamo i felt i had to! It's a 5 min walk to the park and was for the most part quit but that did not help with not being able to sleep on rock slaps thy called beds. the room had paint striks on two walls from were thy painted and didnt even try to clean up. the bath room was ok and clean but that was the beast part and i'm not jokeing the washing machine was out side next to the pool under a tarp. I got the room for $51 bucks but i think the locle motel 6 would have been better, DERRY
If you're thinking the price point and location of this place seems too good to be true ... you're right!
I travel a lot. I've stayed in five-star resorts and budget motels. I'm not fussy. I just want a clean bed for the few hours that I will be outside the Disney parks. The bed was clean, but there were so many other issues that travelers should be aware of before reserving a room here.
First, when we arrived, we were given room 117. It looked as if the airconditioning unit was about to fall out of the wall. Black mold covered the ceiling. The TV still had antennae. The beds were barely upright, and the drawers on the dresser were wobbly and wouldn't close. Still, I figured I could make due for a few nights.
It was late, so my husband and I asked where we could eat. Basically, the only option was Denny's, and it was closed. There were no convenience stores nearby to get snacks, and the food in the vending machine appeared to have been leftover from the last millennium. Not to mention, you couldn't access the machine because a screen from a nearby window had fallen out and blocked the path. At the same time, ice poured from the ice machine to the ground at random intervals!
So, we decided to go for a bit of a walk to Downtown Disney to get a feel for the trek. According to most sites, it is a one block walk to all parts of Disney. Even taking a short cut through the Grand Californian Hotel, the walk was 15 to 20 minutes at best. To get to the parks, it was precisely 1 block to the crosswalk, 2 blocks to the Grand Californian, about 1 block to cut through the hotel, and then a long walk across the length of Downtown Disney. Now, I'm young and in good shape so I can handle the walk, but it wasn't what I was expecting based on what I had read about the hotel.
But, this is all superficial. I'll get to the real reason why I wouldn't stay here again. When we returned to the room--still hungry--I undressed and was getting ready to shower when the toilet wouldn't flush. We were about to let the front desk know that we would need assistance, when we discovered our bathtub had been infested with ants. We had to walk to the front desk to tell them because there were no labels on the phone to tell us how to get service. When we got there, they weren't sure if they could give us another room. Fortunately, they could.
The next room was much better. It was bigger, cleaner, and a touch more modern. Had we received this room originally, it would have gone a long way for first impressions. All was well... for a while.
The next afternoon, we took an uncharacteristic break from the parks. In the early afternoon, we came back to our room for a nap. We never do this, but fortunately, we did this time. As we lay there half asleep, we could hear what appeared to be our door opening. We rushed to answer, assuming it would be housekeeping, only to find two teenage boys with a key to our room. They had been assigned to our suite. Had we not been there, they could have taken anything. That night when we returned to the hotel, our key wouldn't work because it had been reprogrammed when the room was given to the boys. The staff did not ask for our I.D. Instead, they just gave us a new key, no questions asked. Again, we could have been anyone looking to steal from unsuspecting tourists.
The next day, we had asked for a 7 a.m. wakeup call. It never came. We missed the extra magic hour as a result. The staff was unsympathetic. Not a big deal, but it starts to add up after a while.
Finally, when I asked for help locating the Disneyland Hotel, the front desk person told me he had no knowledge of the Disney parks. Common hotel courtesy is to have at least a basic knowledge of the local attractions. The hotel was visible from the front desk--he just needed to point.
It wasn't the room so much as the service that turned me off of this place. Take my advice: Pay the extra $20 a night to stay some place else.
