Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional Resort and Spa, Palm Springs

This Motel is a nice nudist place and the rooms are ok... but stay away from the dogs. Big dogs roam around bugging naked guys to play with them. This is one of the Springs' niche' motel and should not be considered a family/kids/adventure/romantic destination. Not in my top ten and I've reviewed 39 resorts here.

Having stayed in many clothes optional naturit hotels/resorts we were pleasantly surprised by the Terracotta Inn. Its private,small and one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed. The rooms are a good size and well equipped (we had one with a kitchen).The owners have got the hospitality just right and include a breakfast (plenty of choice including fresh fruit and cereals etc and also afternoon snacks and wine,a great way to meet new people.The friendliness of the place is enhanced by Jude the resident dog who is not only a credit to her owners but the canine race in general ! Returning guests are known to turn up with toys and treats for her!! Overall a really relaxing friendly place which manypeople return to,year after year.

I have been to nude & clothing optional places before but The Terra Cotta Inn is by far THE BEST place I have ever been to. My Husband & I have been there twice now & are planning on celebrating our annaversary there this year. The owners are welcoming & want to insure their clients have the most relaxing & fun time possible. The rooms are bit dated but the pool & spa are AWESOME. The breakfast & afternoon wine/snacks are YUMMY (there is always a generous amout of food too).

The owner's large dog runs wild and wants to play with people trying to relax in the jacuzzi or pool.

This has and will always be our go to place. We have been going here fo 9 years and have tried everywhere else as well! TCI has made us feel like family when we go and is the best place to meet others and we dont go to dinner we usually BBQ there and its poolside. We always meake sure to get a kutchen room so we can stay longer and eat in. there are great art fairs and the casino in is a very short drive or taxi ride. we go to Terra Cotta Inn usually twice a year July and some time in the winter to get away from the rain or snow . OH YA! its is absolutely beautiful in the winter its in the 70's and youcan float in the pool and look at the snow capped mountains! excellence!

It was a much needed getaway and i needed to spend some time with my wife. We both decided to finally try Terra Cotta, we have been to the desert sun and wanted a change, since we heard that this resort was more intiment we thought that this would be the break we needed, money has been really tight this year so we didnt get a vacation. but this local resort was like a getaway from far away. even though we were minutes from home we enjoyed ourselves as if we were. also the staff was friendly and when i wanted to surprise my wife with dinner reservations and flowers they handled all of that for me! see you soon Terra Cotta Inn!

My Husband and I took a trip to Palm Springs, CA to the Terra Cotta Inn this last November 2009. I was very hesitant since this would be our first trip to a "nude" resort. My husband suggested it and it took me a while to even warm up to the idea. When we first arrived we were welcomed very warmly and taken to our rooms and shown around. With my heart beating faster then usual we un-packed the clothes we brought along, I guess when we say we are going away for a day or two normal reaction is packing clothes! I undressed, wrapped a towel around me and headed out the door. My husband was ready before me and was very sweet in helping me relax. I realized quickly that there was nothing to be nervous about everyone else was just as nude as I was under my towel and and i quickly shed it and started to enjoy our short getaway. I was a first time nudist and now because of the Terra Cotta and their comfortable enviroment, I will be a repeat nudist. Thank you Terra Cotta Inn staff and guests for making it a great stay! See you in Jan 2010 we Re-booked!!!

We have been coming here for years. Sadly our vacation is about to end. We love Tom, Mary Claire and their staff especially their dog Godiva. It's like staying with good friends instead of some nudist resorts that seem to only wants your money. I don't want to bore you singing their praises. What sums up the vibe best is when Tom tells people on the phone "only nice people are allowed, if your grouchy don't come." It's so true. We always meet the nicest, most friendly people there. If you are snobby, don't go especially in the summer. The other thing I love about Terra Cotta is how easy it is to make friends. Last Wednesday, the hotel was full and about 3/4 of the guests had an impromtu barbeque together. The food, drink, and laughter freely flowed. There was a honeymoon couple who were 24 and a couple that was celebrating their 40th anniversary at the barbeque. It was a blast. If you have ever thought about going to a nudist resort this is the best you will ever find. We can't recommend them enough. Thanks Tom and Mary Claire for running such a great place.

we make the 2 hour drive as often as we can because we feel so at home here. it's cozy and relaxing. you can order a very tasty and economical lunch. the friendly staff makes everyone feel welcome. we went to desert shadows once, but didn't feel "comfortable" there. we were at terra cotta inn on saturday and look forward to returning soon.
